Sonoran Turquoise is found in Sonora Mexico. It is prized for its colour depth of Greens, Blues, and Yellow and Gold Matrices.

The Turquoise is soft and most of it is stabilised or treated with the Zachary process. Once treated it is extremely durable and gorgeous.

Unlike most turquoise, Sonoran Turquoise is not mined in veins but rather as individual nuggets typically found in clay deposits.
