Discovered in Greenland in the late 1890s, hackmanite is named for Finnish geologist Victor Hackman. It is a rare occurrence to find gem-grade hackmanite; Hackmanite is the light pink to pale violet variety of sodalite.

Hackmanite helps grant one access to their crown chakra while enhancing their mental capabilities. One will be able to see the strength that the human mind possesses, which can lead them to the gateway of higher knowledge.
